Late morning on the SF/Daly City bound train

The train grinds to a halt after the 12th Street/Oakland City Center stop. The operator announces to the captive passengers:
"We will be moving in about five seconds.
Five
Four
Three
Two
One."

His countdown ends and a few seconds pass silently before the train starts up again. The operator comes on the loudspeaker again: "Okay, so I was a couple seconds off."
