Friday Night Waiting for the 14
He's got his huge radio tuned to Kiss FM and that plastic box pouring out the funk perched on top of the garbage can across from the bus shelter at 16th and Mission, the soundtrack for the evening bus ride home. He is grooving in and out of the crowd, spinning and dancing to his favorite songs while people run for buses and to each other and around and about at that Friday night pace. "Excuse me everyone, this is my song. Awwwww, I can feel it!"
An older bespectacled gentleman dodges the Kiss FM man and makes his way towards the prime 14 Mission bus waiting area where I happen to be standing ready to pounce on the backdoor of the 14 Mission whenever it may come. He glances over to me and sees that I too am amused by the Kiss FM man and the public's reaction to his dance routine. As Kiss FM man takes a bow and continues feeling the funk, bespectacled man tells me "You know, some people are too funny." He pauses registering my laughter while and continues, "And some are too crazy, too."
